The Department of Pastoral Care has celebrated over 50 years of compassionate ministry. The department offers both educational opportunities and excellent clinical support and supports the UNC Health Care System mission of leading, teaching, and caring.
We are seeking a CLINICAL PASTORAL EDUCATION SPECIALIST to join our Department of Pastoral Care.
The CLINICAL PASTORAL EDUCATION SPECIALIST will collaborate with another ACPE Supervisor on staff to offer Level I and II units of CPE. Our program offers an individual unit in the spring, summer, and fall, as well as a fulltime residency. Primary responsibilities include supervision, program development, and direct pastoral care.
The position requires graduation from accredited college and seminary, at least nine units ACPE CPE; faith group endorsement. M.Div. or closely related degree; Certified Associate or Full Supervisor by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education and pastoral experience in hospital setting and/or congregation. Preferred applicants will have chaplain experience.

Full-Time Hospice Chaplain
Full-time Hospice Chaplain sought to provide spiritual care and counseling to patients and families in their homes and in nursing homes/assisted living facilities. Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance Caswell has served our community since 1982 with compassion, respect and professionalism. Our service area includes Alamance, Caswell and parts of Orange and Guilford counties. This position will work as a member of the interdisciplinary team in the provision of hospice care. Duties also include funerals and sacerdotal services and co-facilitation of grief support groups. Competitive salary and excellent benefits included, including health, dental, retirement, paid time off and more. Degree from an accredited school of theology required; MDiv and CPE training preferred. Ecclesiastical endorsement and ordination also preferred. Minimum 3 years experience in pastoral work, individual, family and group counseling
